You can phone the DWP for advice about Disability Living Allowance (DLA) benefits by calling 0345 712 3456.
If you’re a UK Resident who requires assistance with mobility or with self-care then you may be eligible for Disability Living Allowance payments provided that you were born after 8th April 1948 and are below 16 years of age. Therefore if you’re already over 16 you can no longer apply for DLA, instead you will be asked to apply for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit. However if you were born before 8th April 1948, you will still continue receiving your DLA benefit.
The rate of your DLA benefit will depend on the disability or health condition that is affecting your quality of life. The rate is based on two parts, namely the Care Component and the Mobility Component.
If you require assistance with understanding or claiming your benefits, then do not hesitate to call Disability Living Allowance at the Disability Benefits Centre on the following telephone numbers. You should also phone the appropriate helpline if your payments have been delayed or there is a change in your circumstances which will affect the amount of money you are eligible to receive through DLA. Alternatively if you would like to complain about a change in your DLA benefits then you can call them on 0345 712 3456 on the telephone or on 0345 722 4433 via a textphone device.
You can call the official DLA phone number, which is a mobile-friendly, local-rate 03 contact number, to contact the DWP about DLA directly, by dialling 0345 712 3456.
